掌寶科技成立於2003年，定位為Entertainment Solution Provider，專注於隨身數位多媒體產品研發與全球業務行銷，提供ODM/OEM多媒體平台整合解決方案，並擅於開發加值型應用軟體與友善人機介面，自2003年創立自有品牌MobiNote，並積極開發具時尚設計感之精緻型電子消費性產品。

掌寶科技自行開發產品包括隨身多媒體裝置(Portable Multi-Media Player: PMP)、平板電腦(TabletPC)、車用導航電腦(CarPC)、隨身手寫電腦(Web-Pad)等。
